Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q)


If you answered ‘Yes’ to one or more questions:

– You should consult with your doctor to determine whether it is safe for you to become more physically active. You may be able to do any activity you want—as long as you begin slowly and build up gradually. Alternatively, you may need to restrict your activities to those which are safe for you.

If you answered ‘No’ to all questions:

– You can be reasonably sure that it is safe for you to participate in physical activity, gradually building up from your current ability level.

Note: If your health changes so that you would then answer ‘Yes’ to any of the above questions, please inform your fitness or health professional immediately.
